After over sixty years of leadership in the automotive painting industry, we have expanded our industrial reach into the maritime and marine engineering sector—a rapidly growing market at the heart of the global ecological transition.
Low environmental impact and high operational efficiency solutions to support the industry in the global decarbonization challenge
Integration of AI, robotics, and environmental engineering
Expertise and know-how dedicated to the maritime sector
Smart and sustainable underwater maintenance
Anahid is the first underwater robotic system developed by Geico for hull cleaning and sterilization without the need for dry-docking. An advanced platform that uses artificial intelligence and robotics to operate directly in water, keeping fleets efficient even in complex environments like lagoons.
The Anahid technology is part of the Clarum SEAS Project – Save Energy, Anchor Sustainability, presented at the Salone Nautico of Venice in May 2025, in partnership with Greensailor—an Italian company specializing in eco-friendly foul-release coatings—and ACTV, Venice’s public transportation company, with whom a pilot phase will be launched on lagoon waterbuses.
The advanced treatment system for submarine cables
Azhdar is our new coating and treatment system for cables, developed within the framework of the European SEASNAKE+ project—a groundbreaking development in semi-dynamic submarine cables for offshore renewable energy.
The project focuses on creating an advanced anti-fouling system with an innovative application method that reduces processing time and enables large-scale production.
This system is unique in terms of sustainability, reliability, and techno-economic competitiveness.
Seasnake+ brings together industrial, academic, and scientific excellence to drive innovation in the marine sector. Among its key partners are the renowned Swedish institute RISE, the Danish company NKT, a global leader in subsea cable manufacturing, and a robust Italian network led by CNR IAS – the Institute for the Study of Anthropogenic Impacts and Sustainability in the Marine Environment – supported by pioneering companies such as Geico, GreenSailor, and Keelcrab.
Improve the mechanical resilience of cables, increasing safety and reducing maintenance costs
Minimize environmental impact, accelerating the EU’s energy transition
Revolutionize offshore energy infrastructure
